Psychologist, PsyD
“If you want to discover what the issues are and how you can take control of the problem and find a good solution, Fred can help guide you through the process.”
I specialize in working with both individuals and couples. My goal is to provide maximum relief from your emotional distress as quickly as possible. Towards that end, my treatment methods are aimed at helping you to live real life more happily. You can expect to be asked “What is it that you most want to change about your life?”. If you are uncertain about what you want to change, then sorting out that uncertainty will be our primary initial goal. I am committed to helping you achieve a deeper understanding and an effective remedy to your problem.
Whether you attend sessions along with your partner or by yourself, I specialize in helping you find more fulfillment in your relationships. My aim is to help you develop new ways of operating to replace old, maladaptive ones, and to empower you to handle conflicts and emotions more effectively.
“Fred is thoughtful, caring and genuinely has the skills to help you get back on track.”
My insight-oriented and solution-focused approach is grounded by my own experience and faith in the motivating power of our emotions. For over 40 years I’ve provided therapy on issues of depression, anxiety, managing stress and work-life balance, life transitions, divorce, and marital problems. Psychotherapy works best when you feel listened to and accurately understood. My goal is to actively engage you and to provide you with feedback and advice that is clear, honest, useful, and effective.
